Our breeding programme is based strictly on temperament, conformation and performance ability and much attention is paid to the selection of stallions to compliment our outstanding mares. All Bernwode progeny carry proven competition bloodlines to include National and International European medallists!
Bernwode youngstock receive a positive start in life, enjoying the correct balance of freedom, education and excellent general management. All foals are registered with the SPSS and are eligible for future studbook grading. Our young ponies are correctly started at three and brought on carefully by selected riders. One of these is Gemma Abram who represented Great Britain as a Pony rider on several occasions. Gemma currently has Bernwode Dimitri and Bernwode Delauney on loan from the stud. Gemma is trained by Gareth Hughes. Previous Bernwode riders have included Louise Crutcher who was a member of the Bronze medal winning 2004 Pony European Dressage Team in Poland riding the German Riding Pony mare Daphne.
Foals, youngsters and ridden ponies (up to 15.2hh) are occasionally available. Visitors are always welcome by arrangement and video footage can be sent on request.
Germany - Some of our working ponies are produced in Germany where we have a highly experienced team of small adults, juniors and trainers. The care and training of the ponies is overseen by Caroline Barber.

Sarahn Pony Stud
We are a small breeding farm that is devoted to breeding beautiful Arabian & welsh ponies of predominately dilute colours. Our stud was started in 1994 with the introduction of Arabian mares & quickly developed into a love for showing & breeding ponies of Arabian type..The first pony bred at Sarahn was the beautiful Sarahn Delta Blue, who at her second show was awarded the prestigious title of AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION Arabian Riding Pony Filly. In 2006 we were lucky enough to purchase the very beautiful cremello stallion Woranora Tempest, who has taken our stud to a new level. Ponies we have bred in the last 5 years have won countless championships including Australian, East Coast, National, State & Royal titles.
